Washington – Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) made the following remarks after learning Assurant Health is going out of business because of the Affordable Care Act:

“The shuttering of Assurant Health is yet another unfortunate example, but still the tip of the iceberg, of the harmful and all too real consequences of Obamacare. It is becoming clearer every day that we need an alternative to this disastrous piece of legislation before more people lose their livelihoods, and freedom, and begin experiencing even more limited access to affordable, quality care. My deepest sympathy goes out to the 1,200 Wisconsinites who will lose their jobs as a direct result of Obamacare.”
