WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Stephen Fincher (TN-08) has received the American Conservative Union’s (ACU) “Conservative Achievement Award” for 2014. This achievement is awarded to conservatives in Congress, based on their voting record on a variety of important conservative issues. Congressman Fincher’s lifetime rating from the ACU is 83 percent.
“I’m honored to be a recipient of the Award for Conservative Achievement,” said Congressman Fincher. “While in Congress, I have been committed to fighting for conservative policies that will result in good-paying jobs for hardworking Americans and get our country back on the right track. I will continue to do everything I can to uphold these promises and will remain steadfast in my commitment to put our economy on a long-term path to prosperity for all and fiscal sustainability for government.”
"Rep. Fincher has been an instrumental leader in preserving our Second Amendment rights, standing up to unions, and helping small businesses,” said ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp. “Rep. Fincher not only fights for our shared values in Washington, he is also a conservative leader at home in Tennessee. His constituents in Tennessee’s 8th district can trust Rep. Fincher to fight for conservative principles."
