Rep. Kristi Noem today congratulated Kristin Wileman on the completion of her summer internship in the congresswoman's Washington, D.C. office.

"I am so glad Kristin chose to spend her summer in our office," said Noem. "It's always energizing to have young people like Kristin in our office. She was never without a smile on her face, a ready-to-work attitude, and a willingness to serve the people of South Dakota. I look forward to watching all she will accomplish and am hopeful this internship experience will help her get there."

Wileman, a 2013 graduate of Aberdeen Central High School, is entering her junior year at North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. There, she is pursuing a degree in Journalism Communication. Wileman is a writer for the school newspaper, involved in campus residence life leadership and heavily involved in the music program.

"Spending the summer working in Congresswoman Noem's office was an indescribable experience," said Wileman. "It's one thing to see governmental procedures on the news, but it's another thing to be a part of it. I'm so thankful Kristi gave me this opportunity to learn and be a part of everything she is doing to better the lives of South Dakotans. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone as a good way to see the behind-the-scenes operations of our government."
